I don’t believe in cutting down trees to make my art. I like to find wood from previously fallen trees or trees that have needed to be cut down due to dangerous circumstances. My works are keeping these beautiful trees stories alive, keeping a record of the life they lived.
Vaquita, the world's rarest marine mammal, is on the edge of extinction, there are likely only 10 left in the world. Soon, they will cease to exist completely. I created this print as a symbol to put an emphasis on how close these animals timelines are to ending. The Vaquita may not be a very well known Marine animal but if we don’t start doing something to fix our oceans, we will loose another animal essential to our marine diversity.
