I don’t believe in cutting down trees to make my art. I like to find wood from previously fallen trees or trees that have needed to be cut down due to dangerous circumstances. My works are keeping these beautiful trees stories alive, keeping a record of the life they lived.
There are only approximately around 4,500 tigers left in the wild, according to the WWF, although some estimates put the number even lower. I created this print as a symbol to put an emphasis on how close these animals timelines are to ending. And if we don’t start doing something about it, we are going to have to explain to the next generation what a tiger was and why they no longer exist rather then be able to show them these magnificent creatures.
